Fed up with NVidia's business practices and behaviour.

Major surprise. I haven't had an EVGA GPU since the 1080 Classified but that was probably the best card I have owned in terms of cooling/noise/performance for the generation.

I think they might be back with AMD or Intel but have to say they aren't due to contract clauses about non-competition for a period and also so that they can negotiate a better position privately with who they go with.

I don't believe for one second, no matter how many time Steve says in that video, that this is a principled decision over anything else.

The real problem must be that with Nvidia selling FE cards and undercutting all AIBs that this is purely financial. Allegedly they've been losing money on each card sold since mining fell through, demand dried up, and prices finally started to approach RRP. You wouldn't cut 80% of your business for any other reason other than financial trouble.

Funny thing is that EVGA weren’t complaining when they were selling GPU’s at 2 x RRP during the pandemic lockdowns and mining boom.

If they’ve ended up with 3### inventory that they can’t shift because they didn’t see the downturn coming then it’s nobody’s fault except their own.

Were they selling at 2x direct or was it the retailers?

Both from what I recall.
