5G, Samsung, slow and eats battery...

On EE, but get the same with Three, my Samsung Flip3 rinses it's battery on 5G and is incredibly slow (and gets warm) when browsing the Internet.

Lots of new masts gone up here recently, so 5G is sort of everywhere but there is better 4G coverage.

Anyone else find this a problem? Perhaps not just Samsung?

For instance, this post, a couple of WhatsApp messages and after coming off charge an hour ago at 100% my battery is showing 78% already.


Eta it also 'hangs' for ages on 5G. Which is odd, because I thought 5G was faster.

When you say 5g uses battery, what's the app that is at the top in the battery information screen?

Not on 5G at the moment, but it's Google Play Services 3%.
