Flat iPad Barely Charging

It has self discharged over quite a long period of time. It is connected to a known good charger through a known good cable and it is drawing 0.06 amps, and has been for two hours. The device will not turn on and the lightning charge symbol is not displayed on the screen.

Is this usual and if so, can anyone tell me how long to expect it to last for, please?

wait. But probably the battery health is impacted due to drain to zero. It might be worth having Apple replace the battery - but if you left it long enough to completely discharge, do you care?

Thanks. It took approximately six hours until the screen came to life and 'usual' discharged recharging started. Now happily at 100%.

I have seen this on iPhones before, but never for anything like as long as this.
