I have a gmail account, tied to a domain name through 123 Reg , suddenly cant get email on my phone, it says no password entered but nowhere to add one, cant get into gmail on my laptop.

"We are sorry, but your 14-day trial for Google Workspace has ended"

Any idea whats going on ?

Not got any access to any email ? Wife has one via the same domain and thats doing the same thing. The basic web page on the domian is still there.

Could the domain name registration have expired ? thought seem to remember doing it for a fair few years, dont think i have had any emails about renewal but cant check now ffs.

To check your domain status, login to your 123reg account. Have you paid your annual fee?

The account password for your email on an iPhone will be entered in Settings—>Mail—>Accounts. Android will be similar.

Can you not log into your general Google account and select Gmail from the icons in there?

As far as I’m aware if you want to use a custom domain as a full fledged account in Gmail you need to pay the subscription (this is suggested by the message you got). The free option means setting up a custom domain to forward to an existing standard personal Gmail account, then set a custom reply-to address in the settings.

did you once have a GSuite account free with this 123Reg thing? Google has been killing all the registrar-supported free tiers...... I would ask 123Reg first.

Google Workspaces (which used to be Google Apps For Your Domain) was free for many years, then they tried to force everyone onto a paid service. You should have been receiving emails about this if you're the admin for the domain.

They had to relent a bit under lots of pressure (from techies who'd had it for years and recommended it to others) and you can still get it for free if you can show that it's entirely non commercial:

They sent some emails round a few months ago to users of the old free workspace accounts setting an end date unless you confirmed (as I did) that it was non-commercial usage. I did it for a couple of accounts (mine, Village Hall committee, local preschool, really have to stop getting involved in all this!).
