Ladies and Gentlemen,

My 15+ year old Samsung laser is on its last legs and it's time for a replacement. It doesn't really meet requirements as it is.

What do I need:

Networked (wired or wireless)
(B&W) laser
Scanner

Occasional colour document printing and even less often photo quality printing are nice to haves.

I've never had good experiences with inkjet, probably due to irregular use despite owning some good kit over the years.

Initial thoughts were a colour laser/scanner and a separate photo printer later on if I feel the need. Colour laser is probably unnecessary (mono fine) and just a higher cost per page especially when the kids forget to print in mono. Or is there a colour laser that won't break the bank in terms of running costs?

HP Laserjet. I have an M452, which scans, copies, prints and does double-sided.

Less than £200 but.

A set of toner is four hundred pounds.

I've tried several noname alternatives, and they've all been ste.

They're cheaper from Amazon, but: https://www.hp.com/gb-en/shop/ink-toner-paper.aspx...

That's the bit that worries me, especially with other users who will to print off in colour when not required etc.

Might end up going down the mono route for now.
