Apple Watch / Strava / Activity
Discussion
Noticed an odd issue tonight. Been out for a little hill walk and recorded it on Strava on my Apple Watch. Got back to the car, finished the work out and it synced with Strava as normal. Looked at my watch and it said I'd burnt 660Kcal on the activity rings. All good. Checked the Strava app to see my times in a bit more detail and looked back at my watch before I set off and the activity ring rolled back to 580Kcal.
Any reason why it'd do that? The Strava activity is listed as a workout so it has counted it, just don't know why it'd roll back afterwards? I did wonder if both Strava AND the watch were counting the calories at the same time and it had just deleted one, but it'd be a lot higher before it deleted one surely?
Not that I'm that bothered by it, except I'm a bit too competitive for my own good so I am quite bothered by it....but not really

Likely down to the formula used to calculate calories used and values for weight etc entered in to the apps. The watch will have tracked your calories how it thinks you burnt them, then when the Strava activity sync'd the fitness app is clever enough to recognise the same timeframe and adjust the calories based on how the activity shows up in external app.
