So my 2017 iPad Pro is starting to get a bit tired, the battery seems to last for ages one day, then use 50% of charge in about 20 minutes the next and it seems to get hot when being charged!

It’s still good for what I use it for other than that but it is getting a bit buggy sometimes the touch screen is a bit less responsive than it was.

So basically use it for playing idle games when watching tv, ebook reader, web browser. Nothing taxing at all.

So is the pro worth paying the extra for? Or is the air the one to go for?

Whatever you do, I would wait until the Apple event on September 7th as there is an outside chance they may update the Pro. Even if you don’t buy the latest model the 2021 will drop in price.

How much storage do you need, as once you add storage to the Air the price gap with the pro narrows? I have a 2021 11” Pro and it’s a great bit of kit (especially face ID) although hopefully they sort out multitasking and windows as it’s a bit rubbish at the moment.

I just swapped my 2017 iPad Pro for a 2021 Pro.

£450 second hand (6 months old and immaculate) and nearly £200 for selling the old one.

New iPads will be announced very soon so if the latest and greatest is what you are after then you should contain yourself for a week or so.

My current is a 64gb and never been an issue, on 48gb right now. I am assuming that in 5 years time that will be marginal, but by then it will be time to replace the “next”one?

John Lewis ar doing £150 trade in at the moment, this has kind of prompted me to think I should change now and get some cash back lol

I would either wait until the 7th and get the latest and greatest or go apple refurb for the last gen one.
