Im looking to buy a cheap tablet mainly for travel. Would like it to have a decent sized screen and will be mostly used for watching Netflix, reading books and browsing the net. Whole house in android so makes sense to stay with that. Budget around £150.

Any suggestions? Thank you

Lenovo M10 HD 2nd Gen is the only answer at that price point.
We have 2 for the kids and they are very good.

Make sure to go for the 64gb version as has more ram.

Currently at Argos for £129 down from £150

I just replaced my old Lenovo tablet with a Chromebook which I have been impressed by. Just something to consider.

I'd recommend the Nokia T20 but it doesn't support Netflix in HD

It has Netflix, Kindle books, net browsing and if you really need it you can put the google play store on it.

A little above your budget. It's the same price with the cover which saves a little bill.

Theres something called the fire toolbox. With it you can pretty much eliminate amazon and turn it into a regular tablet. I've done it with a couple of the fire HD 7 tablets and its completely transformed them.

I'm not sure how familiar you are with modifying things like that but its very straightforward. There are instructions on the website.

Be warned, I returned one of these last month, as the Bluetooth audio lag made it useable

Being drawn to the amazon fire now as it does seem to come top of most reviews in this price range. Had also looked at the Samsung as have a lot of Samsung products.

Just checked using some wireless Bose on YouTube and Netflix and both mine are working fine and don't have any lag on Bluetooth that I can notice anyway, they are on Android 11 now and the thread linked looks like it was an Android 10 issue from a couple of years back and for the plus model.

Have you got a link to this, the only Fire 10 Pros I can find are the kids versions?

It was only last month, with the latest Android updates using Plex and some JBL Jembe Bluetooth speakers, and the lag was so bad it made the tablet pointless, I wanted it mainly from air travel and plex media playback, otherwise I couldn't fault the quality, performance or display on this tablet.

Thanks, very tempted.
However noticed that under wifi connectivity it says....

Supports 2.4 GHz and 5.0 GHz networks. Does not support connecting to ad-hoc (or peer-to-peer) Wi-Fi networks. Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) is not currently supported.

Does this mean it wouldn't be able to connect to my mobile phone hotspot?
