Quick reed relay question

My electronics brain is a bit rusty. Am I right in thinking -

+12v to 3
5 to earth

+12v to be switched across 1 and 7

?

Edit: I think in fact I've bought the wrong thing. I want to close the switch with a magnet.

I think you want a Reed Switch as opposed to the Reed Relay shown in the image. The relay contact is operated by applying a voltage to the coil pins creating the magnetic field that moves the contact. The coil is redundant when using an external magnet so Reed switches usually only have two pins. They also tend to be quite delicate and don't handle lots of power so be careful to match the switch to your requirements.

Thanks, have ordered some reed switches - only planning to use them to fire another relay so very low power requirements.
