My handset is all but dead, wife gets a nice discount on Samsung so looking at one of these. Just wondering how owners find it? I like the look and feel of it but worried it may be too big & annoy in the long term?

I looked at the S22 & S22+ but didn't really like the design.

I'm not interested in Apple, kids have them & I just do not like them but open to any other Android suggestions.

I tend to keep my phones until dead (old one is an S6)

Thanks wink

Samsung may give you £250 trade in on your S6, worth putting your phone details in on their order page to see. If you don't want a big phone, try the new Z Flip 4? Folds to half the size of a S22.

I've had my 22 ultra a couple of months now & love it. I got a pretty decent trade in from Samsung for my old s9+ even with the screen burn so as suggested above I would go on the Samsung website to see what they offer.

Thanks, I do like the Flip/Fold phones but feel they will be the tech to have further down the line. Samsung are offering me £150 trade in but I can also use wife's discount so get quite a bit off smile

There was a lot of discussion in this thread pre and post release which may help:

PH Link

You will of course need to wade through the comments of people just waiting for it to turn up (me included wink )

Had my regular S22 for a week now. Feels so much more responsive than my old S10.

Unlimited data/calls/texts from Vodafone for £35pm and nothing up front. I had an offer somewhere else for £34pm, but Vodafone said they couldn't match that far. No point swapping for that small saving.

Got £132 for my old S10 from Meelie

I went for Ultra, wife went for the +. I'm guessing I'll notice quite a difference from the old S6! had to buy some buds too as I go running, at least my kids won't say I look like a tit now with a WIRE of all things!!! Also got a new charger as I understand these things can fast charge with one.

What screen protectors is best for the Ultra? I usually use Spigen but they don't do the EZ fit for the Ultra. The one I got is frankly ste, it has a "hole" for the finger print sensor & is already lifting at the edges! TIA smile

I have one of these on my S21 Ultra, here's the S22 Ultra version:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/TAURI-Samsung-Galaxy-S22-...

But I found they start to lift after about 3 months, so nowhere near as good as the factory fitted one however.

But for the first 3 months they are very good.

Cheers, I really want a glass one TBH, looks like these purple light cure ones are about the only ones without this sill hole??

So a full case as opposed to just the film type protector. I see the problem with the finger printer reader needing a hole in that case.

It's a Spigen case with a glass protector, same as my wife's. Can't see why an S22+ doesn't need the hole but the Ultra does (much to her delight & piss taking over my silly "hole"!!)

If you haven't solved it already, try one of these:

Dome Glass

Good full coverage and no hole wink . You also don't need to apply excessive pressure for the fingerprint reader to work as some reviews say.

The only thing that puts me off those is the glue! What stops it entering the (tiny) headphone slit for instance?
