I'm assuming there's no solution to this?

List box with a named range as the source, the range expands and contracts and the order of items may change from time to time.

Make a selection in the list box which updates numerous other cells via indexing etc

Changes made to the content of the list source, new products added, old removed.

Look at list box and the selection has changed, ie. 10th item chosen originally. 10th item in list has moved and been replaced with a new option, 10th item now item 12 for example.

So the original choice has now been lost (or replaced) which I don't want.

Am I going to end up opening up a can of worms a coding it all in Access?

Don't you have to validate the data selection after modification?
I might have read your post wrong, posting from the phone.

I'm fairly sure I've seen something like this on

channel

I'll try and take a deeper look tomorrow, unless you find it first

Pass your selection as text to Power Query, index it there, model whatever you need in there, pull out your outputs to Pivot Tables via Power Pivot.

If you start thinking about using Access, download Power BI Desktop instead and make that work, it'll be a great better investment of your time.

Cheers all. After a bit more digging and thought I'm changing it up a bit and using a dialog with list boxes I can control properly to populate cells with static values from the source list.
