We are borrowing my brother in laws flat in Spain for a couple of weeks. I have heard that you can get a sky sports and BT sports subscription tonuse on the firestick and then watch in Spain. Something I'd like tonorganise for the. as they don't charge for the flat.

Anyone know anything about it or have I been misled?

Thanks.

I'm talking about something legitimate. I'm lead to believe that there is a subscription service that may be called Vision + that you take out and the app is accessed from a fire stick.

Not looking for a dodgy VPN way of watching. To be honest, I'm not bothered about watching anyway, more of a gift for leting us use the flat.

You will be on the hook as tech support every time it doesn’t connect/update/sync otherwise doesn’t work properly if you do as planned.

You can get Now TV on a fire stick, which you can add sky packages onto, but it’s a subscription not a one off cost

I’m pretty sure Now TV will restrict services to UK IP addresses too

It all seems strange to me Nd yes Now is restricted to UK.

The chapnthat has the subscription which has sent my brother in law down this path is going to mail me details.

I'd rather go down the local bar when the mighty Spurs are playing and I'm on holiday.

Unless you have satellite, any access to Sky or BT Sports will require the use of a VPN of some nature.

Do you realise this thread is about access from Spain?

And to be clear, legitimate watching in Spain with a subscription.

Happy to be corrected, but I think the two are mutually exclusive.

Since we came out of the EU Sky even removed access using Sky Go / Sports on a tablet or console etc unless the device is in the UK (or can make Sky think it is using a VPN).

The only (reasonably legitimate) way to watch sky abroad imo is with a laptop and a cheap VPN.

This way you can connect to a tv via a hdmi cable, something which the mobile app blocks (screen casting).

A VPN isn’t dodgy really and you’re still using Sky Go which means you need a subscription. I wouldn’t use a free one though as they’re not reliable enough but they’re not expensive at all these days.
