Anyone here familiar with Openreach practices?

A number of properties in our area are suffering frequent broadband losses - regardless of ISP - this has been going on for 2 weeks now

Caught an openreach engineer at the cabinet at the end of the road who told me that the mains earth rod is corroded so badly they`ve had to turn power to the cabinet off and run it on batteries instead. These batteries appear to last 12 hours tops, so we get broadband from 8am-8pm then its off until the following day when they come and change the batteries again

Phoned my ISP again today and they have no knowledge of the issue and have raised it with Openreach (frustrating as I've phoned them multiple times already regarding the problem). All I wanted to know is when will this get permanently fixed

Openreach wont speak directly with the public - so was hoping to in PH vast diverse population that someone here works for Openreach and give a clue to how long these things take

Chase your ISP and they have escalation paths for Openreach, only way to get it sorted.
