I had some and sent them back within a week. I prefer having one earphone in instead, the lack of bass I found annoyed me more than I thought it would.

Yes, they are not bassy. But great for what they are imo, the latest “pro” ones have been developed to improve bass response.

Retaining your sense of hearing whilst out jogging / cycling is really cool. Don’t throw away your audiophile headphones though , that is not what they’re about.

I’ve wondered about these a few times as I listen to a lot of audiobooks and podcasts but never picked any up or tried any - may need to investigate further!

Absolute game changer for me - I am missing an ear drum and normal headphones or ear buds mean I suffer pain if I use them.
Bought a pair of Shokz pro bone conduction headphones and they’re great.

As mentioned, the fact you can still hear what’s going on around you is a great feeling.

I’m now on my second pair - mainly use them for listening to podcasts or audiobooks where the lack of bass isn’t an issue. As you say great to retain hearing for hazards etc when out cycling or running

I have had a pair of aftershokz titanium for about 18 months - fantastic. I use them for conference calls and the mic is great. Running and keeping your actual ears open is brilliant. Useful for long distance night drives where I pair them to the phone and listen to music / audiobooks while everyone else in the car is asleep and I can still listen out for what's going on around me.
