I have finally got round to sorting the desk in my new office.
For various reasons, things have been in storage for years (and decades)

Note, that I do not claim to be the King of retro, doubtless someone has a 1960s valve amp and KEF speakers on their desk....

.

now to get back to spinning some of these up !
they've all been ripped to my YouTube Music account long ago, but I like discs.

What to do with this?

The tape? Wish have super cheap Walkman style players that convert to MP3 as well. I bought one to play old Techno cassettes I still have.

Get some small speakers with a 3.5 mm jack, so you can use the cassette and CD player.

Used to have that exact same model of MD recorder. My wife worked for Sony at the time so we bought quite heavily into their tech - MD, memory sticks, Clie PDA etc

MiniDisc was great tech but was too close in time to MP3s so was never going to succeed.

Your music collection has a familiar tone to it too. Anjuna stuff etc. Good work!

Well the 1s and the 0s were asked to hold hands on the tape that was wound round and they just said their names when the reading head got close.

Fun fact, I used a tape/analogue/cassette system until last year in the NHS for dictation, we have only JUST gone to digital and SSDs.

Got that installed, the little grey blob on the far left behind the cds. It's Sony too, I used to be a fanboi. 3.5 mm male ended cable.

The CD player and the MD player have optical outs too.....

....
