I have a old T3 10 tablet and I would like to use it with the WiFi of my Honor 9 Lite phone, been using tethering to creat a hotspot but it turns off, any better solutions?

Anyone advice?

Can you not connect to the same Wifi as your other device?
( for example House>Device1 and House>Device2 )

What turns off, the tethering option on the phone or the wifi on the tablet?

Does the tablet connect at all?

There's an option in the Android hotspot menu that's "turn off when no devices connected", try turning that off. I've always found when I've connected my tablet to my phone via hotspot it stays connected until I turn it off so maybe there's some type of timeout going on?

Yes connects fine, it is usually the phone that turns off, I think.

If it connects and works for a short period then likely a power saving feature as mentioned.
