My stepson has a number of documents that he created and saved as pdf files. I’ve now given him access to our family subscription to 365 and he wants to convert his files to Word.
Can anybody offer an easy, no cost solution to the problem, please?

There's a free app you can use with your google drive called cloud convert iirc. I've used it to convert pdfs a few times.

Can't he just open the PDF in Word?

Bear in mind that anything that was an image before it was PDFd will remain an image in the new word file.

As above you can open PDFs and save as Word but it does sometimes do strage things with formatting (ie, uses indents to move text to a centre position rather than just centering them).

Plus fonts may change, line spacing etc but the guts of it will be fine and it saves retyping stuff.

Maybe a bit long winded but print the pdf files, scan into word?

Thanks for the tips and advice which have been forwarded to my stepson. Hopefully, he is now sorted.
