Running an iPhone 11 at the moment, the batt life is at 78% and it randomly freezes. Currently has a battery case to compensate for the loss of battery life, which more than gets me through the day.
Apart from that, it’s a great device that does everything I need.

My provider has (Drei (3) here in Austria) has an offer of an iPhone 13 for 100€ with a contract extension. As I have no intention on leaving Drei this seems like a pretty good deal. Obvious getting rid of stock ahead of the new model launch.
On the upgrade calls to the EU and UK will be included (post brexit) which for me is the most important and why I will stick with the network.

I know the IPhone 14 will be out in a few months, so I’m wondering if I should wait for that, or just get the 13.

I don’t really do anything “special” on the iPhone, but the camera is important (even on the 11, the camera is great!). For various personal and business reasons I must stick with an iPhone. I know the 13 has MagSafe so an extra battery pack for the the battery will eventually die (as they all do) would just be a simple “snap on” device.

So should I get the 13 now for basically peanuts or wit for the 14 and all the new stuff that will bring (what more could there be?)

My other half has a 13 Pro, the camera is very impressive, and the videos are even better.

I would wait for the the 14 though, or see how it looks, there's only rumours, but there is talk the pro and the pro max it having a huge camera update, possibly 48MP

Just get the 13 if it's a good deal.

They'll always be a new iPhone around the corner. Will it get cheaper when the 14 launches - probably, but how long do you wait?

Who really needs a 48MP camera with them at all times anyway?

Yep, just get the 13 and take advantage of the deal. In a few years, get the 15. Being a year behind the latest model isn’t a hardship and makes financial sense.

Could you keep the 11 pro & switch the contract to sim-only?
Will save a lot that, thats what I did here. I do get a hefty discount via a mate though.
The 11 pro is great (looks nicer too in my biased opinion!) & should last until the 16 comes out! Marginal gains on newer ones..

So just get Apple to replace the battery (only £69) and you then have all the device you need.

I recently bought an 11 (I use GiffGaff so just buy them outright and tend to keep them) the only downsides for me was the lack of 5G (might not be an issue on yours?) and no LiDAR scanner (I do some 3D modelling and game dev) other than that I'll probably keep until it goes pop.

Battery life isn't great either. Not a problem I find with the 12.

I've turned 5g off on my 12Pro - more hassle than it was worth. Whenever the phone switched to 5g on my commute home I would have no data/bandwidth at all, despite full bars of signal. This is between London and Kent, so not exactly out in the sticks.

Luckily 4g is perfectly adequate for my needs.
