Apple CarPlay help please.

Hi, I’ve used Apple CarPlay since it first came out and never had any issues whatsoever. Lately my text messages that are being read out via CarPlay have an audio issue. Effectively the first 10 to 15 seconds are really low quality. Similar to how phone calls used to be when they were Bluetooth. Then the proper audio kicks in and its full quality again.

Does anybody know of a setting that I may have changed in error which means it is using Bluetooth to get the first part of the audio through the car stereo instead of the lightning connector?

I hope the above makes sense. Any help greatly appreciated.

Turn off Bluetooth on your iPhone and test it. If it still happens, it isn’t Bluetooth.

Then try with a wife’s/partners/child’s/grandparents/friends phone to identify if it’s the phone or car
