I have a macbook pro OS 10.13.6 Safari 13.1.2
I would like to be able to change the colour elements in certain areas of a photo i.e. what would an all black leather car seat look like if the side bolster was bright orange ?
So it's picking out features and changing them.
Is there a freebie app or programme that will let me do this sort of thing. Nothing elaborate, just to try different colours out.
At the moment I just download from the camera onto "Photos" version 3.
Thanks.
Brian.

GIMP might be what you're looking for. I've not used it myself as I use Lightroom, but I believe it's a reasonable alternative.

Have a look at Seashore (in the app store). It uses GIMP technology but the user interface is simpler.

Pixelmator Pro is a fantastic option on Mac, more akin to Photoshop or Affinity but like them it costs. Free trial from their website though so you can try it.

Photoshop Elements.

It costs, but not much.

If you only want to do one or two images, post them up here and I'm sure someone will help (in amongst tower blocks, ambwilans and other diversions biggrin).

Many thanks all, I'll have a browse through the suggestions and see what happens.
Cheers
