My parents were having a lot of problems with spam emails, which, over time I have managed to reduce significantly by blocking email addresses as they come in.

At some point I blocked gmail domains, as they were getting random gmail address spam, but unfortunately I use gmail myself so they no longer get anything from me.

Is there any way to only allow specific gmail addresses in filtering? I have added my email address as an allowed address, but I assume as I have also blocked the gmail domain that doesn't work.

What service are they accessing their email on? That will make a difference to what controls are available.

As you haven’t said what email provider & email clients (if any) they use, the best advice I can offer is google ‘white list specific email addresses & your parents email provider’ should provide a answer.

They use BT mail, and used to access via Outlook, but on the webmail access more recently (which is the one I used to check their emails).
