Android sainsburys shopping list app

Saves a lot of writing new lists each week, but i cannot permanently delete items

When i make a list out and 'cross off' the item it appears in the bought list
However there are a few items that i eant to delete but cannot!

Any suggestions as all it seems to do is once an item is on it reaqmins on and can only be 'bought' or to be bought
