Need a new laptop, not fussed on graphics card as have a Xbox, so looking for good sound and screen. Not fussed on weight as will be at home. Looking under 500 quid. Would like 15.6 screen plus.

Haven't got much useful advice, but I'd avoid that on the keyboard layout alone.

That laptop has popped up a few times on PH recently, the keyboard looks awful to use and would probably do my head in if I had to use it. Would have been better if they'd dropped the number pad and stuck a decent full-sized keyboard on it.

What's wrong with the keyboard?

I just want an OLED laptop really screens are supposed to be really good.

Really surprised you can get a screen of that quality on a £380 laptop these days.

That Dell 3511 comes with a budget 45% NTSC colour gamut IPS panel (about 72% sRGB). Not a patch on the Samsung OLED in the Vivobook that has 100% DCI P3 (133% sRGB), so doesn’t answer the ops requirement of having a great screen.

I’ve seen those budget IPS screens in person at Curry’s Pc World. They look dim and the colours look washed out compared to high quality panels like in Dell’s own XPS models.

OP, you didn’t say what you were doing on the laptop?

Looks like an ANSI (US) layout rather than ISO - so you have the rectangular Enter key and the @ key is on the number row instead.

I actually prefer ANSI but ISO is the standard for UK so it's weird that they're not selling that version..

It wouldn't put me off a laptop.

I think I will go with it. Seems good enough specs for my usage.
