I’ve tried to gel with Spotify, but it appears to be very track orientated, and I like to to listen to albums.

On my phone, I have reverted to ITunes Match, which gives me advert free choice of all the music I own already, without having to rent it.

This works perfectly in the car , apple play works a treat.

So, how can I now get the same deal in our lounge ?

The Samsung TV is hooked up to a NAD amp and B&W speakers, so I’d like to play my tunes through this.

But the tv only has an Apple Music app which is a music rental App.

Yea, I can mirror my phone to the tv, but then using the phone upsets that….

Is there a way to make this work or do I need to dig out my old Apple TV?

Does your amp allow Airplay or Bluetooth connection? If it does then just cut out the TV and connect direct to the amp.

Alternatively can you install an Airplay app on the TV to allow connection?

Last option would be to use a streaming box. I use a Roku stick to play my tunes from my iPhone to my Samsung TV using Airplay. Easy peasy and very cheap. Other streaming boxes will also do a similar job.

Amp predates that tech, so I’m guessing it’s AppleTV time again…..

I’m not quite sure what you meant by that?

If I mirror from the phone to the TV, and then try to use my phone, the airplay gets stuttery.

The only reason I ask is that it works in pretty much the same way as CarPlay and you said you was very happy with that.

If you need to isolate the music from the phone, then Apple TV or a cheap standalone iPad is your best bet.
