Any suggestions? Apps I've tired so far I navigate to a folder full of MP3 files and they inform me that no media files are found. Same folders as on my computers, which have no difficulty in playing them.

Muzio player I couldn't find how to stop a track, I could pause it but there was no stop button no one for clearing a queue. VLC player couldn't find any media files.

I use Pulsar - works well enough - originally installed it as on my last several phones the google media players refused to see anything local on the phone (until after first using Pulsar).

Been using that for a short while now. It's good because recognises wm play list files and does the basics fine but it's not perfect. For me there are a couple of annoyances...
- The widget doesn't work properly, you click a command but all that does is open the full app which kind of negates the point of the widget.
- For me is for some reason it doesn't automatically play when connecting to Bluetooth in the car or motorcycle comms device where as with a previous phone the Sony player was great at that.

Or maybe that's just me with my particular phone. The search continues smile

PowerAmp / PowerAudio were highly recommended a year or two back and I've been happily using it since.
