Virgin Email Backup

I am about to leave Virgin and would like to backup my emails, I have thousands of them, any help please?

First set-up a Gmail account and then you won't be in the same situation again. Just forward all the emails to the new account, it may take a while but no big issue.

Do you use an email client like Outlook or Mac mail?

Can you not set up a pop3 account on your pc, laptop, phone etc and get them downloaded direct to there? Would be quickest by far.
