I setup a new XBox, I've added my kids and setup both the XBox App and XBox family app on my phone. I added both my kids with their own Microsoft Accounts as part of my family and when setting their Data of Births they were added as children and I'm able to do stuff to control their access. I have the Xbox Live Gold Game Pass thingy.

But I have a few questions....

I confirmed the age limit for content for my kids and they can't open 'my' games that are age inappropriate. But when they sign in they can see all this temptation and they can scroll the Store for all the games that they can't install and can't play. Can I sort it so they can only see things they can access?

Is the XBox Family stuff reliable or rubbish? I've only messed around with it a bit, but I feel like I'm doing something wrong as it always tells my son he has no time available and has to request it, even though he has no time limit and I've given him extra time already. My daughter isn't restricted, though she has been setup the same. When I log my son in it will revert back to my daughter at random. Is this what it does or do I need to go digging?

Lastly, can I set it up so that games don't ask who is playing? At the moment when any of us are logged in, when we open a game it then asks who is playing again and requires passwords whether you're the person that's already signed in or not? I want to use the personalised controller login setup and then be able to go into the games without further checks on who is who. At the moment it's asking for passwords all the time!

Kinect can avoid passwords - do you have it? I do so never think about it.
Or see this: https://www.windowscentral.com/how-set-auto-sign-x...

Kids can work around the Family Safety controls by creating a new account. I've given up with my 17-year-old on this topic.

Thanks, I think one of my issues is that my daughter has that sign in option set, so it's defaulting to her. It all seems very random though. I'll try setting it for my son too.

How does adding another account work? Without my password I don't think anyone can add another account to the XBox and presumably they would need to add it to my Family account to access the games as they're licensed that way.
