Digital weighing 3kg-5kg even 1kg + interface of some kind

I have been searching fruitlessly for a cheap digital weighing device that I could interface to a computer or even a phone to record low weights. No I am not a drug dealer! Rather a keen cook who likes to try different combinations. It seems that only body weight type devices or commercial weighing machines can do this. I know that I could lash up something with a load cell to a Rasp but I'd really rather buy something.

Anybody on here know of something that I've missed in my searches?
