I'm contemplating a tour of Holland on my push bike and would like a medium size Android tablet with decent battery life and Google maps running on it.
I'll be mounting it in some sort of holder on the handle bars for the ride but I want it to be my main entertainment and comms/internet system in the evenings.

So Ideally I want decent performance/storage and perhaps? an independent mobile data connection, or linked to my phone via hotspot etc. (With WIFI that might be easiest)

Any ideas/recommendations please. Thanks

The Samsung S8 series is the best lightweight and medium sized, but it's expensive.

You'll have fewer battery issues if you use your phone on your handlebars, I find that more than big enough when I'm on a bike, but if you got the tablet route you'll want a decent backup battery setup I'd think.

I have an adaptor that lets me use my drill batteries to charge USB devices, I reckon that would be the sort of thing you'd want, though the draw-back maybe that you'll want to charge those batteries and you'll not want to take a normal drill battery charger with you. Wonder if there's a compact charger you can get for them.
