My wife's laptop gave up the ghost last night so need to get a replacement. Both our previous ones came from Dell outlet and have lasted pretty well, so happy to use them again, but presumably plenty of other decent brands around too. Current one is 5th or 6th gen I7 with I think 8Gb RAM.
The main question is what kind of spec do you need these days with Windows 11? She does a bit of photo editing and plays some games on it, but not anything demanding enough to need a dedicated graphics card. Is 16GB now the norm? Better to go with AMD Ryzen or Intel?
