Hi all,

I've been tasked with finding a decent drone for use to inspect and survey rivers. Realistically I think there lookong to spend a couple of thousand for something decent..

Doesn't need any fancy attachments just a real decent camera. And good range
Courses and insurance will no doubt be sorted aswel

What's best to go for?

DJI do commercial Drones,

But from the sounds of it the standard Mavic 3 will probably do:

One of the newer mavic minis would probably suffice but if they want to spunk then go for the mavic with the hassleblad lens.

new mini 3 with dedicated controller/high brightness screen - amazing camera, super stable, has a massive flight time too with larger battery (that takes it slightly above 249g)
bargain at about 900 quid

Don’t bother with taking the weight over 249g unless you really need to. Keeping it sub 250g means so much less restrictions on where you can fly and qualifications needed.
