When I start my PC. I get a Microsoft Edge display comes up on the screen, almost always with some scene in the USA featured. I don't want it. I have googled to see what I can do to get rid of it and it's something about the 'command prompt'. What's that?
Will it do anything if I either uninstall Edge, or somehow stop it popping up?

It sounds like don't like Windows Spotlight. You can turn that off -

When my PC is up and running, the bar that goes the full width of the screen at the bottom has a section about 9cm wide. If I put the mouse pointer on a small graphic in that box, a blurb about Big Bend National park USA and Microsoft Edge pops up. It never used to do that.It isn't a problem, it's just mildly irritating. I would like to get rid of it. This has only started happening in the last few weeks - presumably after some update to Windows.
