Old router ipv4 and ipv6 connected and working fine no problems, my ISP has sent me a new router and when started it will connect but if I turn the PC off and restart it ipv4 does not connect and I have no internet connection on the PC (ethernet connection), I have to reboot the router to get it to work. This is via ethernet cable, wifi is not effected. As mentioned the old router is fine.

Can't find a solution searching online, has anyone experienced this and know what it could be?

Ps. I would use the old one but I have been experiencing some disconnects and before I phone my ISP to check why I would like to get the new one working to remove that from the expected painfully repetitive support call.

General things to check. Are you using DHCP or static addresses ? Anything in the router logs? Update drivers. Try just one device connected, see if that works ok etc.

I would say it sounds like an ip address clash, check you are on DHCP assigned addresses on everything or alter the DHCP scope to be what it was on the old router if it had been changed.

I'm going to assign an local IP address to my PC's MAC address this evening and see if that sorts out thanks.
