I'm old fashioned. I use the command line one and copy/paste the URL into the command line window. Works fine.

4K Video Downloader.

https://www.4kdownload.com/products/youtubetomp3/1...

Well reviewed on Computer Active.

I've used it for years, and subscribe. It hardly breaks the bank. A one-off of I can't remember the differences between the paid for and freebie, but the latter was very good. It can be used for MP3 as well.

I assume you're meaning on your PC but if on the off chance you mean on android I rate NewPipe, not available on the play store as it bypasses adverts which Google don't want but it's a good player and allows for download of videos or just audio if that's what you want.

Great for loading up your phone before a trip.

YT5S is my usual downloader.

If you edit the address bar to add 5s after youtube it will let you download many formats - mp4 video, mp3 etc.

Example:

Original https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6hzrDeceEKc

edit https://www.youtube5s.com/watch?v=6hzrDeceEKc

On YT5S homepage there is also link to install an extension for Chrome.
