Has anyone pre ordered? I have ear buds from Soundcore which are OK but have flaky connection issues

I fancy some over ear numbers and these caught my eye. Decent reviews from the usual suspects. Pricy though so will come down.

Or, negligible advantage over the XM4? The prices of these have taken a hit.

Well... From what I've watched on Youtube they don't sound that much different from the XM4's... I have XM2's and actually preferred the sound of my XM2's to my mates XM4's ...

There are some excellent deals on XM3's kicking around.

The 5's also dont fold anymore like the earlier headphones which was very handy.

I have XM3’s which are excellent. As usual the reviewers claim an improvement on the previous gen, but even to highly trained ears it must be marginal.

Also as mentioned the 5’s don’t fold, so less usability.

Does anyone have a decent source for the XM3?

Being discontinued the usual Suspects aren’t listing them.

Bloody love my XM3s

bought them Christmas 2020 but due to Covid, didn't get to use them until last month - amazing ANC

Same here. I use them every day for around 4 hours in the morning. Working in a sometimes very noisy fabrication workshop. The noise cancelling is superb with or without music. Touch pad controls on the right ear work well and the battery life is superb. Last Christmas Wifey bought herself XM4's which are marginally better. XM5's I knew nothing about until I read this thread but the fact they no longer fold away is big negative for me.

Previously had Bose QuietControl 30's (they got nicked) and the NC is nowhere near the Sonys.

I’m hovering over the hot deal uk site but they are shipping from Amazon Germany.

Assume it doesn’t really matter as it’s a global warranty and support? They are up and down with the euro exchange rate.

I have the xm2 - bought purely for the NC as I have Grado and Chord DAC for music. They're a brilliant ravel and office headphone.

The NC on the 5s is supposed to be a good improvement due to the addition of a second ANC processor to improve response time.

Does seem a daft decision to lose folding though... My bet is it comes back on the 6. Just too useful in a travel headphone.

Surely it’s fairly standard returns process within the manufacturers warranty period.

Anyone had experience of using EU Amazon for anything, not just gadgets?

I really wouldn't worry about. If all else fails Sony would sort out any product defects - just register them.

I've got the XM4s and am very pleased with them. I got them from Amazon warehouse for a decent price.

I have the 3’s and I find their connEction a bit flaky if you swap between devices.

Prefer my Bose or my air pods.

This is the thing that makes me hesitate about buying the Sonys, and John Lewis are selling silver AirPods Max for £429

Yes, I would be tempted by those or Bose brand, personally.

I think from the XM4's on you can simultaneously connect to two sources so maybe that is a bit more robust now

Are the airpod max units comparable with the MX series for sound and features?

Anyone using the 3s or 4s for work conference calls? If so would appreciate feedback for this use case
