Buy a usb CD drive ?
I would if i could find a shop that actually stocks them. You might still be able to download a copy of the Office 2010 install from Microsoft, which you can then install with your legitimate license.
If you have a mate who does have a CD drive you could get them to rip the disk and then use something like Daemon Tweeks to load it in a virtual drive on your PC, and again use your licence to install it. You could also bypass the ripping step and download from a dodgy site, you install would still be legal as you have the licence.
if you use office at work you can probably get on the Home User Programme and get 365 at a discount, which I think is about £50/year, which sounds expensive but it also gets you 1TB of storage on One Drive

Click the Start Download button, it downloads from Microsoft's download site.

does anyone know how I can install the software on a new laptop with no CD player?
is there an easy way?
Find a PC with a CD drive, plug a USB stick into it and copy the CD contents onto the USB stick.does anyone know how I can install the software on a new laptop with no CD player?

Advantage of doing it this way is the ISO is an exact copy of the installation CD so less chance of the installer throwing a hissy fit because the volume label is wrong / it will only run from a drive not a folder or something daft like that
Another side benefit is the ISO image can be burnt back to disc, just keep a copy of the file on another drive / pc and should anything happen to the original disc you can simply burn a new one.
EDIT
Just realised RizzoTheRat has already suggested this and someone else has posted download links for the installer - my bad!
