Hi all!
My wife’s birthday is coming up later this month and she has requested a graphic design tablet (I believe that’s what they are called)
It will be something for her to play around with as a hobby, it’s not for anything professions.

She has sent me a link to one she quite fancies:

GAOMON 10 X 6.25 Inches 8192 Level Pressure Graphic Drawing Pen Tablet with Battery-Free Stylus-M10K 2018 Version (M10K2018) https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07HQDN7W6/ref=cm_sw_r...

This seems a little cheap for me, I don’t want to buy her something rubbish, but also I don’t want to waste money if the cheap ones are good. My wife can sometimes go for the cheapest things to it’s detriment. I’ve looked at slightly more expensive ones but they seem equally ‘Chinese’. Are these worth the extra money?

I know nothing about this area of things so I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions? Or experiences they could please share with me to help point me in the right direction?

My budget is ideally under £200

Cheers in advance

It's been a while since you posted but hopefully I'm still in time to help.

Industry professionals will almost exclusively use Wacom's. They're the most expensive by far but it's only in recent years that others have been able to get close to the feel/accuracy.

If I were looking outside of Wacom, I believe Huion are the brand that's worked hard to get close whilst remaining affordable.
You have a good budget there, you might even get Huion with a screen. Which is much more intuitive to use, instead of looking up at a monitor and drawing on your desk.

Start her off with something cheap and simple like a Wacom Bamboo (if they still sell them) and see how she goes from there?

Yes, Wacom always used to be the best, and I think the Bamboo is perfect starter tablet.
