Lenovo Tab M10 Tablet
Discussion
If you are only using the tablet for Netflix, social media, web browsing, emails, banking, video calls, etc. I don't think you'll be missing anything.
We have Lenovo tablets and they perform very well for all the above. Sometimes some apps aren't optimised for a tablet, but most mainstream stuff is and it still works, just a weird format when using in landscape.
My wife has a recentish iPad so I do have a frame of reference.

I’m looking at changing from my iPad to a Lenovo tablet, having researched online and peed off with the increasing cost of simply buying another iPad. I’m a little wary about stepping off the Apple bandwagon, so what am I likely to miss by moving away IOS to Android?
You won't miss anything other than the badge. The only things I'd flag up about Lenovo (based on M10) are (a) when holding the tablet 'landscape' it's easy to accidentally press the on/off switch and (b) to access the SD card you have to use a pin to open a tray (no nice click-open drawer mechanism). Looking at getting a budget 10" tablet, and these seem to be the first 'big name' that crops up after all the smaller devices, or the weird no name brands I steer clear of.
Are they still worth a buy?
All it will be used for us streaming YouTube, Netflix, downloaded movies, music, downloading, mail, that sort of thing.
No gaming productivity apps needed.
Still worth a punt for the 4/64 version?
I'm not even too bothered by the low resolution, as I have no TV and watch stuff on a 7" fire tablet!

I've got 2 of these for the kids and always recommend them on here for budget tablets. Are they still worth a buy?

Great pieces of kit for the price, get the larger GB version as they have more RAM.
Had them over a year+ and no issues at all.
I've been using my Lenovo now for well over a year and it's great. No downsides at all IMHO. One big plus is that it uses a proper power supply plug and not a poxy Apple lightning plug. Mrs P has an iPad and the plug socket is increasingly failing to charge properly as it's wearing out....
I've got the 4G version as I take it to work and it's holding up fine after 18 months of fairly intensive usage. Which is longer than the samdung that cost several times before they stiffed me on the warranty...
Lenovo is kind of our go-to for does-all-you-need-it-to inexpensive but not cheap and nasty tech, have a number of bits of theirs.

I'd assume everything other than an Apple iPad would be using something other the so-called 'poxy lightning plug'? Maybe another poxy interface that tends to break easily instead, such as Micro-A, Micro-B, Mini-A, Mini-B?Although even the last few iterations of iPad use USB-C.

Worth checking - is it wearing out, or is there gunk in the socket? I've had ipads since they were released and never had a port wear out. Sometimes gunk gets in the socket and the charger compresses it making for an unreliable connection.

Anyone using battery saving mode? Charges 40-60% then stops charging until down to 40%.
Works well enough, although it freaks me out a bit when you see it plugged in but not charging.
Mine is plugged in permanently, but do these things actually work, or is it a gimmick?
don't know I've turned it off.Works well enough, although it freaks me out a bit when you see it plugged in but not charging.

Yep, been running it like this for some time. The 60% max gives me plenty of time in use for what I do with it.Works well enough, although it freaks me out a bit when you see it plugged in but not charging.

No idea if it actually does any good though!
