Samsung Galaxy S21
Discussion
I am not due an upgrade until August and also have an S10+. My main hope is the proportions are better on the Ultra (more like an iPhone Max) as the S20 Ultra just looked ridiculously tall.
Otherwise I may go back to iPhone but I have concerns that the freedoms I have enjoyed on Android in terms of downloading etc are not the same in iOS, although I think things have improved in that regard with later iOS.

As a s20 plus owner I see no reason to upgrade to the s21 plus or is it just me?

The 21 doesn't have a SD card slot.

Launch event is live now so just awaiting some reviews on the S21 Ultra 5G.
Samsung direct will give me £380 for my S10+ and free Pro Buds / Tile tracker - both of which would be useful..
Decisons, decisions..
Resistance was futile, S21 Ultra 256gb 5G ordered. Samsung tipped me over the edge with a £50 off voucher, sneaky.Samsung direct will give me £380 for my S10+ and free Pro Buds / Tile tracker - both of which would be useful..

Still on an S9+, (after having S3, 5 and 7) see zero reason to upgrade - quite the opposite. No headphone jack so you have to buy stupid earphones that need charging, no SD card slot, big price tag for something with less functionality than the phone I already have.
I went sim only last year and will only update when this one dies, very unlikely to be a samsung either.

S8+ here on SIM only. A new phone would be nice but the nicest ones are £60+ p/m compared to £15p/m on SIM only and they look mostly the same and are only a little bit better. As much as I'd like one, spending a grand or so over the length of a contract just doesn't seem value to me.I went sim only last year and will only update when this one dies, very unlikely to be a samsung either.
I'm sure this is affecting the whole market though.

So how did you get the extra £50 off, I didn't see that anywhere?
Still on my Note 8. I pay a tenner a month for 12GB of data and more or less free texts and calls. I just cannot justify going back to paying £40-£50 a month for basically a better camera... I mean, I'm not a photographer so a 15MP camera is more than enough!
Someone able to change my mind?
I know I will have to update at some point but until the phone I have dies, I just cannot see the point!

Agreed, no point unless you want a better camera. I like taking photos so I do tend to upgrade every 2-3 years, sooner if a phone were to have a feature I strongly wanted. Otherwise, I wouldn’t bother. Someone able to change my mind?
