Sunluxy CCTV system reset (lost password)
Discussion
I have a Sunluxy CCTV SLDVR4-4800 DVR box
I've managed to not only forget the admin password, but also the password I setup with my own user name (bright...)
Searching the 'net seems to have been pretty fruitless, as I can't find any way to reset this back to defaults (and I don't even know what the default admin password is!!!)
I do have (non admin) access via two accounts but they have very limited permissions.
I have also tried removing the on board CMOS battery to no avail.
Can anybody help please?

I take it you've tried "admin", for both the username and passwordI've managed to not only forget the admin password, but also the password I setup with my own user name (bright...)

Next choices are, for the username of "admin":
1. leave it blank, just press enter
2. 888888
3. 666666
4. 0000
5. 1234
6. 1111

Following my OP yesterday I found a useful site with loads of info, and a few password apps (they generate a password based on present date etc.) but none of these worked for my unit.
It's ultimately bin fodder now.
Sites include "Nerdkey" (link is from wayback machine as these pages are no longer present on the site)

Just to revisit this... (2 1/2 years later!) (and in case this helps anybody else who searches)
I put the box aside, gave away the cameras I had and just left it on a shelf.
In the interim, we also had a house move.
This morning, I fired it up again and tried the passwords mentioned in a reply above, and 666666 actually works now, and I once again have admin access.
So I guess leaving it on a shelf without the CMOS battery in has finally caused it to reset itself to default.
Sadly, the picture quality is lacking with my new CCTV camera, so it's been a waste of time anyway!
