unwanted phone calls (mobile)
Discussion
Using a HTC one m7 on 3, lately the amount of unwanted withheld number phone calls is getting annoying, anyway of setting the phone to automatically block and prevent these coming through? Most are ppi claims company's or even just automated machine call's giving out much the same junk, also over the last 6 month's or so the number of number's I've had to manually add to my blocked list is crazy, why all of a sudden all these unwanted callers?

I did about 6 months ago, and it's gone from 5-6 calls a day, to zero!

OK just registered my mobile number, but not sure this works that good, as during registration it was apparent that my home number was already registered with them, and we still get unwanted call's on that number too, also they say that after 28 days any unwanted calls can be complained about, but on my mobile my most hated ones are those that have no number attached, just say " unknown ", how the bloody hell can I complain about those.
Several call blockers in the Play Store.

Install an app called calls blacklist, set it to reject private or witheld numbers and every time an actual number calls which you never want to hear from again tell the app to ignore it.... Bingo after about a week you have a phone which only rings when it's someone you want to speak to.

If you do get a number ,then check it out on http://whocallsme.com/. There's also a complaint site on the ICO website. http://www.tpsonline.org.uk/tps/number_type.html

EDIT - Just RTFQ'd properly and seen that the OP has already done what I suggested below, so disregard!
For ages now I've been getting those kind of junk calls, all automated PPI types. I got my hands on a HTC One mini a few months ago, and have been adding all of these numbers to a contact named "Blocked Numbers" as they've called me, and they have all but stopped now. Obviously you won't be able to block the ones that come up with no number, but the majority of the ones I was getting had a number associated with them (all very similar with just the last few digits being different) so I've been adding each one to this contact. I still get the odd one, but they are rare now compared to several each week.
