Person Tracing?
Discussion
No I hadn't. But looking at it, they wont have the info. Their electoral role is for 2003, the person moved at the end of 2003 and will probably avoid registering for a while. I doubt that I am the only creditor.
Call me tight, but I dont want to cough up £19.95 to get old info.
oops Friday numptiness, spotted the free credits. I'l try it.

Hmm there are a couple of utilities databases you would likely find them on very rapidly, unfortunately to use them like that would open the door to serious penalties.
Other than that, have you tried google? For some people it can be uncannily effective, others will never even register as a blip on the online radar.
Have you tried directory enquiries? Again it's possible that they have updated the new number with their name.
Another possible alternative, if you have or are able to obtain a contact telephone number, get someone to give them a "social engineering" call. There are a variety of pretenses under which an address could be obtained, from pretending to be a courier company delivering a parcel etc.
Other than that, the "following them home" option is likely to be your only one. Its pretty easy to vanish beyond most people's means of discovery if you REALLY want to. Depends on how much this guy owes you...

Thanks for thr advice folks. The land registry is worth a shot, I have a business number and I will get an address from that but I really need a home address.
Lemming, yes there is a fair chunk of cash involved and I already have a CCJ against them, however they have done a flit and the Sheriffs need another address.
Muncher, if I have no success on these other fronts I will send you my details, I assume this guy charges? It may well be worth it.

I'll have a word, he may not charge. He is VERY good, quite scary how much info he has access too actually.
From knowing my IP address before he told me my name, address, family details, mobile number, almost down to shoe size!

If it's gone legal then the court should handle this. They will have access to much more detailed info!
Really? My experience of courts and solicitors doesn't give me such confidence. Its done the rounds, been kicked up the High Court in order to use Sheriffs and they visit one address and say "no goods, gone away".
Now I have to find the info myself or pay someone to do it.
Muncher, does your mate charge, if so, how much. Email me if you wish, but let me know if you do. Cheers!

Not only is it not the case that they have access to more, or better quality, info, they specifically will not make efforts to trace in most cases. The onus is on the pursuer of the debt to provide information.
