I have an office, which is sub-divided in various offices.

I have been approached by someone I know who wants to rent one of my offices, approx. 6m x 4m, for 2 days per week

How much would you expect to get for it ? (I will be paying all bills, i.e, electricity, gas, phone, etc, although he would not be using great amounts).

I was thinking about £25 per day. Is this cheap/expensive ?

Compare that to the costs incurred from someone like Regus for office space - its VERY cheap.

Ive just booked a meeting room and been charged £7 per hour, per person.

On the other hand, if its "spare" unused space it would be better generating some revenue than none at all.

Our office is about 5m x 2m and we pay £100 per month. We have to pay for 'leccy.

£25 per day seems a little on the expensive side to me! Thats about £750 per month pro-rata. I take it this is a long term thing? Will they only be in the office two days a week. Will they still be keeping desks etc there on the other days? We only spend about 4 days a month in ours, plus 4 hours a week for our book keeper. We still have to pay for the whole month though.

Paul.

We're on a small farm between Southampton & Winchester Ted. (About 1 1/2 mins from home) We were lucky to find it. One of our customers was moving out.

We did look at other farms and could have had plenty of similar offices if we were prepared to travel a bit. Found a couple just looking in the local rag. The prices varied a bit, but not enough to put us off.

I too have been looking at office space for VQ, probably going to go down the virtual office route.

Currently have my office set up at home, but want my business address separate, virtual also gives me a receptionist to answer the phone and direct it to me or take a message, all important as I am out and about quite a lot and people hate ansafones.

Thames Valley I have been quotes around £125 per month. Quite a swish new office space as well and it will let me take a space as and when i need it for a bit more for when Mrs Furby is home (she is a teacher yer see and I cannot work so well when she is on holiday.) so i can operate from the one number and address whether at home or there.

Still debating it though. Anyone else have virtual office experience?
