One of our customers has asked for an Escrow agreement. Everything I can find looks expensive, does anyone have a low cost provider ?

Thanks

Not to put too fine a point on it, if the customer wants that service, I'd suggest that they source and pay for it.

From the other side of the fence, as a customer I'd probably be happiest with an escrow set up that I'm more in control of (i.e. I'm paying the bills and get to call the shots).

As with anything, software escrow's only as good as the effort that's put into it. Should you go bust and the customer activate the service, won't they look a bit silly if the latest code isn't in storage and they didn't check?

I'm pretty sure it's normally the customer who should stump up for this as it's in *their* interest to find an escrow provider with whom they're happy. Also pushes the due dilligence work onto them.

One of ours did the same - we said fine if they paid - which they did.

We did it through NCC Group
