Hi everyone

The company I work for hasn't paid me since October. There have been promises of money but nothing has been forthcoming. Apparently we'll now get something in Jan.

So; does anyone need any help tomorrow or Monday/Tues/Weds? I'm based in Hampton (near Kingston on Thames on the outskirts of London). I'm a graduate, with 4 years European (IT) Sales experience and 2 years of Lloyds insurance experience. I'm bright, eager and anxious!

I've got a full driving licence and my wife's wheels to get me to whereever is needed.

Willing to get stuck into anything (I've cleaned the insides of septic tanks in my past) - nothing is 'beneath' me as it were.

If you just need some help - however small please don't hesitate to contact me.

Thanks Dontlift - I've told them that I'm not going to be around next week (unless they come up with something.) I've been volunteering for them for so long it's become a way of life so I've got snap out of it!

It was worth a try STC! (And er, I couldn't design my way out of a paperbag - but if we'd been closer than 300 miles I'd have tried to do everything that distracted you from doing what you needed to do)

By not paying you, isn't your company guilty of Constructive Dismissal?

Probably, but I'm guessing that he is not being paid because the company doesn't have any money. So while a lawsuit may be fun, it won't get him any money either...

They would be in breach of contract - if I had one! And they don't have any money so basically I'm sitting waiting for my back pay whilst sorting CV out and trying to get a grip on life, things. I'm 31 and I feel I can't get my next step wrong if I want a successful career...

I'd love to sue but I have nothing in writing to prove anything. I just have my boss's word of honour. And that's bound by the fact that he's been a close friend of my mum and dad's for 40 years. But loyalty can only stretch so far

I'd pick up the pc you are working on right now and walk out with it, dont go back. Friendship only goes so far, as a family friend you should be high up the payment list. I'm sorry if it sounds harsh but fair is fair.

Craigw! You're right - I just got up from desk, switched the PC off and told them that I'd had enough for this week and I'd see them on Monday and went home.

Just thought -life's too ***king short for this bollocks.

I got a call from the boss of bosses yesterday asking me to come in to talk things through (my retort, 'bring your chequebook!') so here I am. Not sure for how long though!
