Probably not the right place for this posting, but it is better here than in Gen Gassing....

Now that the car is demonstrating a short period of reliability (that's done it), I need to get on with a few of the household tasks. However the sum of what is required is a bit beyond me for my limited free time, and besides I can't really be bothered with it all .

Can anyone recommend the following in the High Wycombe / Loudwater area:

Painter / Decorator
(1. Strip & paint the hall/landing, 2. Treat / paint all external woodwork)
Plasterer (Kitchen ceiling. Currently Artex'd. Urgh).

Bathroom Designer / Fitter (New suite, floor, tiles, etc).

Maybe a new kitchen too, but one step at a time.

I'd rather go on personal recommendation than leave myself at the mercy of the Yellow Pages...

Watch ITV's "House of horrors" for an idea for who NOT to employ!

ie: last weeks show, £174 to replace a couple of £5 washing machine hoses (ten minute job) which didn't need replacing....

Have a go and do it youself. the artex in the kitch can come off easy if you use a very sharp scaper i dont this in our oul house and removed the artex. it took a weekend to strip patch up with poly filler and paint.
