Guys,

I am in the process of setting up a new business and wondered if anybody could recommend software that will help write a business plan?

You can either reach me via this forum or at naedge@transarctic.org (currently the Sponsorship Director for Ben Saunders, who uses this site).

Thanks for your help.

If you open up Powerpoint it has a template for a BP. I have just used it to do one my self and it is very good (it tells you what info to write where too).

Word and Excel may come in handy.

Ahh, a comedian....

Was thinking more along the lines of software to help structure.

Dan,

Life for Ben is absolutely hectic at the mo whilst preparing for his expedition to the North Pole. This week he's in Norway training and so I'm sure he'll reply when he gets back (i'll remind him).

Have you used Business Plan Pro? Feel free to email me at naedge@transarctic.org

Regards,
Neil

I have and I think it's probably one of the best - I've looked at 20+ (including Word/Excel templates). It doesn't cover everything and possibly goes into too much detail in places but it gets you thinking and does show some weak spots in the plan.

Email me if you want more details - I posted here for the benefit of anyone else that might be interested.

Go to any of the High street Banks & they will give you a disc for your PC.
The programme asks you all the relevant questions and at the end automatically generate break even points, graphs etc.
