Datacomms - dead or alive
The datacomms market - UTP, STP and fibre cabling market is worringly flat at the moment, it has'nt been too clever all year but now it seems to have died a death. Loads of it in Scotland though.
Anybody here finding the same?
I would suspect that most buildings these days have now been fully flood wired which has caused the decline in cabling. I would expect the biggest demand at the moment is for wifi which would also eliminate the large scale cable runs.
We're busy, most of our work is sub-contract and most of our clients are busy too! It has been an up & down couple of years though.
Paul.
