Professional investor or not???
Discussion
I would imagine with all the redundancies in the city over the past couple of years there must be somebody who has had to answer this question too, so can hopefully help!
I have today received a letter from my online stock exchange data provider, after an audit by the LSE, asking me to clarify my investor status. I used to work as a securities trader so would have been classed then as a 'professional' but in November 2002 I was made redundant. I'm currently out of work and on the FSA register as 'inactive',so what is the situation now, am I a 'professional' investor or not?? I certainly don't want to pay £250/month fees instead of £65 I currently pay!
