...a reliable, value for money removal company in West or North London and a company where furniture can be put into storage.

With regards the storage - any idea of costs for the contents of a 2-bed flat for 2 months?

Thanks in advance for any assistance!

Can't recommend any companies in that area (but in general as with everything, big companies = safe, mediocre and expensive, small local company = more of a gamble but potentially much better and cheaper). However storage costs when we put our three bed house in storage in 2001 were fairly consistent at around £30+VAT per crate per month. A 'crate' is quite big - we needed three for everything - sofas, fridge freezer, beds etc. You'll need to make a *complete* inventory of everything for insurance purposes as well; it's a real faff as (apparently) they won't just accept '1000 CDs', they need them all named!

Are you moving locally or further away?

I'd go for a storage place near where you are planning to move to. I'd also go for a storage place that has 24 hour access, as I found it a right pain trying to rush from work to catch the storage place.
